Yingtan Ulba Shine Metal Materials Co., Ltd. (Ulba Shine) reported that it is to be finished the installation and testing of the equipment for the thermo and chemical treatment in February 2009 and started trial production of CuBe strips.
Till the present time the melting and hot rolling technology of billets into the strip was worked out. In the first half of 2009£¬around April or May, it is supposed to make an adjustment of the cold rolling technology of the strip of C17200 alloy and the accreditation for the compliance to the international standards. Thereon the first stage of the company establishment will be finished and Ulba Shine will start normal production of CuBe C17200 strips.
In the second half of 2009, in July or August, it is planned to develop the technology of alloys with low content of Beryllium.
Ulba Shine, a Sino-Kazakhstan Joint Venture, established in Yingtan City, Jiangxi Province, China, by NINGBO XINGYE ELECTRONIC COPPER STRIP CO., LTD (China) and ULBA METALLURGICAL PLANT JSC (Kazakhstan) in 2007 in accordance with Chinese laws for the manufacturing and sales of high performance copper beryllium products in strip and sheet etc, with a designed yearly capacity of 2,000 tons.
The Chinese Shareholder Ningbo Xingye Electronic Copper Strip Co., Ltd, founded in 1998, has rich experience in producing high precision copper alloys. At present, its annual output of copper alloy strips with trademark of ”°Three-ring”± is more than 20, 000 tons.
The Kazakhstan Shareholder- Ulba Metallurgical Plant Joint Stock Company is one of the three enterprises in the world with full production cycle from ore concentrate processing to finished products output with the rated quality set-ups. Unique process equipment available at the facility allows to produce wide range of products on Be and its alloys base.
With all round-sided supports of the shareholders, ULBA SHINE was equipped copper beryllium production line with new and first-rated equipments in China; by using the advantages in raw materials resource and technology as well as the experience in management of both shareholders, the company aims to fully supply China market with high performance copper beryllium strips and sheets with high quality.
